YELEY TAKES ELDORA MIDGET THRILLER

Rossburg, OH…….J.J. Yeley of Phoenix, Ariz. won Saturday night’s 25-lap “4-Crown Nationals” USAC Mopar National Midget race at the Eldora Speedway, outracing Dave Darland and Brad Sweet in one of the most spectacular “4-Crown” features ever! Yeley led the first 11 laps in his Klatt Enterprises Ford Racing Beast/Easslinger Ford, before Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sailed past both J.J. and Darland to assume command. Stenhouse then ran away from the field but on lap 17 tangled with Brad Kuhn while lapping him. After restarting last, Stenhouse began working his way back through the field but on lap 20 he flipped end-over-end on the backstretch and was transported to Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Ohio. Yeley led the final nine laps despite constant pressure from Darland. Following the third-place Sweet were Brady Bacon and Cole Whitt. Series point leader Tracy Hines flipped on lap three but escaped injury.
